Down a quiet lane amid the hustle and bustle of the French Concession, Diva Life promises to be the perfectShanghai sanctuary. Built in 1933, this well preserved lane house was once the home of a Jewish wine merchant, H. L. Menken, who moved to Shanghai from St. Petersburg, Russia. Decked out in dim lighting and purple canopies, the spa has a relaxing atmosphere and is the perfect urban escape. The beautiful foyer has been transformed into a decadent spa and chocolate lounge where you can sample over 80 Belgium chocolates and truffles. The first floor’s nail lounge, which was once Menken’s living room, is an open and spacious area now used to hold spa parties, bridal showers or other celebrations.
